I think you know the answer.  When these systems call for you to zig, the chances are the dealer has already zagged.  A perfect example of this is card counting.  The theory is that by keeping track of cards played you will have a good idea of cards remaining unplayed. 

This makes sense if the casinos would cooperate.  But they don’t.  Many times as soon as a card counter raises his bet, the dealer will shuffle the cards.

Even if the dealer doesn’t shuffle, there is still no guarantee that the player will get the cards he wants.

And so the player using one of these strategies is thwarted.  The player zigs, the dealer zags and the player loses again.

Now, the experts won’t like this but this is pretty much how it goes with just about any blackjack strategy, system or method.

And, making the systems more complex has really not solved the problem.  Every one of these systems is trying to predict the future and having you adjust your play for some possible future event. 

Have you ever heard the expression, “Just announce your plans and watch God laugh?”

It seems totally bizarre that none of these experts even figured out that maybe they were on the wrong track and that no matter how complex their systems became, they were never going to be all that accurate in predicting the future.

I remember reading one fairly entertaining book written by a blackjack player years ago.  According to the author he was fairly successful at blackjack, and he shared a lot of his tricks and insights into the game.

I was reading along thinking how reasonable his approach sounded until he hit me with his bankroll requirements.  He said something like –

“You could start with just $50,000 and play blackjack professionally.   However, you really should have at least $100,000 and $250,000 is really better.”

Think of this.  Just pull together $50,000 to $100,000 and you, too, can start playing blackjack for a living.

But, it gets even better-

Because his strategy only wins over the long run (whatever that means) you should play blackjack as many hours a week as you can.  Ten-hour days would be fine, but can’t you put in 15 hours? 

And don’t take weekends off.  Just keep playing.

This sounds like a lot of work to me.  It quickly occurred to me that maybe his system really wasn’t all that good.    If it takes $50,000 to $100,000, it must have an awful lot of losses.  Otherwise, why would you need so much money to use it?

And, what’s this about playing 80 and 90 hours a week?  I don’t know what you do for a living, but I’ll bet is it not nearly as tiring and stressful as playing blackjack ten hours every day.

From the Neptune Islands to the Blackjack Pit

A close friend of mine, Greg Fletcher, who is a very successful stock trader as well as an accomplished winning gambler, needed a break.  He had tried all of the usual things like sailing the Adriatic Sea or camping out in Denali National Park in the winter time. 

This time he decided he wanted to see some great white sharks in all of their natural glory, hunting, attacking and doing whatever else they do.

He booked a scuba diving-shark watching expedition to the Neptune Islands which lie east of Port Lincoln in South Australia.

He tells me he really enjoyed seeing the fish in action, but that is not the point of this story.

More importantly for you and me, when he was shark watching he met Ian Helms.  Ian sold his business in Melbourne three years ago and decided to retire at the age of 48.  According to Greg, Ian’s retirement lasted all of four days before he decided that watching cricket matches and Australian football was not as fulfilling as he had imagined.

Fortunately for us, Ian decided to turn his formidable skills as an engineer to gambling and most specifically, blackjack.

He had developed his own approach to the game which he called the Quick Strike System. 

As it turned out, Greg met Ian on the shark watching excursion and the two of them hit it off well enough that they decided to spend several days in Sydney before Ian returned to Melbourne and Greg to the US.

The Pits of Sydney

Greg and Ian met up at the Star City Hotel and Casino in Sydney.  While they were stuffing themselves with giant prawns in Star City’s Garden Buffet, Ian revealed his Quick Strike System.

Greg caught on to it right away and asked if Ian minded if he played along with him in the blackjack pit.

Day 1.

Day 2.

At this level you will be making $100 Shark Bite Bets.  Play another hour and you will pull in another $8,894 in profits. Now it’s time to stop and evaluate.

You have played six hours of online blackjack spread over four days.  Starting with just $30, you have won a total of $15,475.

Now you have lots of options –

You can keep all of your winnings except for $30 and do the same thing again next week.

Or, you can continue to play with a $3,000 bankroll and bring in a jaw dropping $8,894 an hour online!

Or, you can split the difference and use a $1,500 bankroll and still pull in $6,581 an hour as easily as you read this!

As you can see, using the Pull Off and Notch Up approach with Shark Attack Blackjack is an amazing performer online.

However, the results are just as stunning in land-based blackjack games!

Ratcheting Up Your Wins in Your Favorite Land-based Casino

With land-based play I am going to assume that you start with $150 taking $5 Shark Bite Bets. 

Day 1.

Buying in for $150 you will play for one hour, accumulating Shark Attack Wins as you play.  At the end of an hour you will have pulled in $107.  Not bad.  Let’s play another hour at the same level.

You bring in another $107 in profits.  Your score so far:

Two hours play with profits of $214.

Day 2.

You take $150 of your winnings and add them to your bankroll, giving you a $300 buy-in.  You will now be taking $10 Shark Bites out of the game with a win rate of $214 an hour.  Play for an hour, set aside $64 of your winnings and add another $150 to your bankroll

For the second hour you will play with a $450 bankroll making $15 Shark Bite Bets.  In one hour more you will pick up another $320 in profits.  Time to call it a day.

 

Day 3.

At this point you have played blackjack for a total of four hours and won $741.  There is no reason you couldn’t do this in one day, but we will continue at our leisurely pace.

This is going to be a big day.  You plan on playing a full four hours to see just how much you can make.

For the first hour you will use a $450 bankroll, taking $15 Shark Bite Bets.  In one hour, you’ll make another $321 in profits.

With total winnings of $1,062 you decide to move up another notch.  Keeping $312 of your winnings you buy in for $750 and start making $25 Shark Bites.  One hour more of play will bring in $534 in profits.  It’s time to evaluate again.

Score:  Your total winnings are now $1,596.  You decide to move on up to playing with a $1,500 bankroll.  Your Shark Bite Bets move up to $50 each and in another 60 minutes of play you rake in another $1,067.

You decide to stay at this level and finish the day with one more hour of play. This brings in another $1,067 in sweet profits. 

Score:  After Day 3 your total winnings are $2,663.  Let’s get ready for Day 4.

 
Day 4. 

You plan on one more four-hour day of play.

Hour one you stick at the $1,500 level and continue to make $50 Shark Bite Bets.  Results?

You win another $1,067, bringing your total winnings up to $3,730.  You decide it’s time to Notch Up again.

For hour two, you move up to playing with a $3,000 bankroll, making $100 Shark Bite Bets.  One hour of play at his level will bring you in $2,134 in clear profits.  You decide to Notch Up to another level for the third hour.

For hour three you increase your bankroll to $4,500 which allows you to take $150 Shark Bites.  In just one hour at this level you will make another $3,201 in profits.  Your total profits so far are $9,065. 

It’s time for the finale.
